New at NAB 2012: JVC’s GY-HM650 & GY-HM600 Cameras

Big news from JVC, at NAB 2012, as they announce two heavy-hitters in the world of mobile news and handheld cameras.

The GY-HM650 is a ProHD handheld mobile news camera, which can shoot and deliver news footage faster than ever. Equipped with dual codecs, it produces full HD files on one memory card while simultaneously creating smaller, Web-friendly files (1/4 HD) on a second card. With built-in FTP and Wi-Fi connectivity, the GY-HM650 delivers the footage back to a station without a microwave or satellite connection.

JVC’s New GY-HMZ1U ProHD 3D Camcorder

Introduced at NAB in April and shown in Canada for the first time at ProFusion this past June in Toronto, the new GY-HMZ1U ProHD 3D Camcorder has officially been launched and is set to ship later this month.

This 3D-capable camera (available with a mic or without) offers full HD recording (1920 x 1080 x 2) to dual SDHC/SDXC flash memory. Its unique integrated 3D twin lens delivers professional results in a surprisingly easy-to-use package. Equipped with JVC’s proprietary Falconbrid™ LSI processing, full HD recordings can be made in either 60i, providing smooth motion for sports and fast action, or 24p for a film-like effect.

4K Focus Forum: JVC’s 4K Technology Preview!

On both Friday, June 17 & Saturday, June 18, JVC is doing something very special at Profusion 2011. They will be on hand to preview their new, affordable 4K technology with a small, hand-held camcorder that records 3840 x 2160 – that’s 4 times the resolution of full HD
