The latest (major) firmware 1.1.1 update for the RØDECaster Pro II introduces advanced sub-mixing as well as a number of system optimizations and workflow improvements.
With the update to firmware version 1.0.7, functionality was added to allow each of the USB and Bluetooth outputs to be customised by selecting which channels would be heard via these outputs.
Now, firmware version 1.1.1 greatly expands on that, giving users the ability to adjust the level of each channel for all ten audio outputs (both digital and analog) independently.
This new feature works with the headphone and monitor outputs, the Bluetooth channel, on-board recording mix, and the units three USB outputs.
The levels of each channel can be independently set allowing users to fine tune the audio heard in headphones separately to the audio sent to the chat and the stream.
This means that hosts and guests can hear entirely different mixes to what’s being recorded on the RØDECaster Pro II or what’s being sent to a computer.

A number of other system optimizations and workflow improvements have also been added with this update including the ability to route voice effects to individual channels when in multitrack mode.
RØDE also updated their RØDE Central software which mirrors all of the configuration options now available on the RØDECaster Pro II itself. This also includes setting up advanced APHEX® audio processing, SMART pads and custom sub-mixes.
Firmware version 1.1.1 for the RØDECaster Pro II is available for direct download now by connecting the unit to the internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet to update.
It can also be downloaded and installed via the latest version of RØDE Central when connected to a computer.
