Aputure has launched two new lighting systems, INFINIBAR, Aputure’s first RGBWW full-colour LED pixel bars and Pixel Tubes, the first tube lights from their amaran sub-brand to feature multiple light engines and internal batteries.
INFINIBAR
INFINIBAR is a highly-configurable linear lighting system that is available in 1-foot (PB3), 2-foot (PB6), and 4-foot (PB12) lengths.
Each light boasts a pixel density of 24 pixels per foot of length, meaning the PB3 has 24 pixels, the PB6 has 48 pixels, and the PB12 has 96 pixels respectively.
Unlike traditional LED tube lights, INFINIBAR lights feature a unique LED bar design with a flat, diffused output surface that Aputure says will offer increased directionality compared to a tube light design.

The lights are capable of achieving an average CRI of 95+, TLCI of 98, SSI (D56) of 74, and SSI (Tungsten) of 85 to produce accurate skin tones and the RGBWW chipset also allows them to reproduce an ultra-wide CCT range of 2,000K – 10,000K, in addition to over 90% of the Rec.2020 colour space with saturated colours.
They also offer ultra-smooth Pixel FX and advanced connectivity options, including Sidus Link, built-in LumenRadio CRMX, and wired DMX via the (sold separately) Aputure Active USB-C to 5-Pin DMX In & Out Adapter.
Thanks to the 10 different INFINIBAR connectors, these lights can create unique flat or 3D lighting shapes and designs, allowing them to be set-up in almost infinite ways to achieve the desired lighting outcomes.
Each of these connectors feature DC power passthrough, allowing multiple lights to be powered from a single power supply. If onsite power is unavailable, each of the lights also has a built-in battery that can power the light.
Accessible via the Sidus Link app, SidusPro FX offers a ton of professional lighting features that can be controlled from a smart device including, Manual FX, System FX, Picker FX, Magic Infinity FX, Music FX and Pixel FX.
Magic Infinity FX is a new addition to the Sidus Link app, bringing pixelated lighting control and chases with up to 1,024 pixels across multiple lights. Pixel FX is unique to fixtures with multiple light engines and allow operators to access pre-loaded lighting effects.
For mounting, each light features a rail mounting system on the rear panel and the included INFINIBAR Clamp to Baby Pin Adapter, allows a baby pin to be placed at any point along the INFINIBAR’s rail, offering a variety of additional mounting options.
The lights also have powerful integrated magnets on their rear panels, allowing them to be placed just about anywhere there is a magnetic surface.
amaran Pixel Tubes
The Pixel Tubes are the first amaran tube lights to feature multiple light engines which allow for pixelated lighting effects and internal batteries.
Like the INFINIBAR lights, the amaran Pixel Tubes come in 1-foot (PT1c), 2-foot (PT2c), and 4-foot (PT4c) tube lengths.

The Pixel Tubes boast a pixel density of 4 pixels per foot, giving the 1-foot PT1c 4 pixels, the 2-foot PTc2 8 pixels and the 4-foot PT4c 16 pixels respectively.
The lights RGBWW LED chipset offers a CCT range of 2,700K-10,000K with fully tunable green-magenta control, and is capable of achieving high CRI [95], TLCI [98], and SSI values across the board, with an SSI (Tungsten) of 85 and SSI (D56) of 75.
Amaran says that the colour temperature range of these lights is wider on the cool end of the spectrum than the previous amaran T2c and T4c (2500K-7500K) lights, almost reaching the range of Aputure’s higher-end full-colour lights such as the Nova P600c.
They are powered by internal Lithium-ion batteries, ranging from 70 minutes of max output with the PT1c (9.6Wh) to 170 minutes of maximum output with the PT2c (38.5Wh) and PT4c (77Wh).
The lights are also the first amaran tube lights that can be used Sidus Link and that are DMX Capable via the (sold separately) USB-C to DMX Adapter with USB-C Input.
There are 7 pre-programmed Pixel FX and 9 System FX lighting effects built-in with more even available when used with the Sidus Link app.
The Pixel Tubes include magnetic mounting solutions including rotatable endcaps with integrated magnets for
flexible positioning.
The larger and heavier PT2c and PT4c versions also include magnetic T12 brackets with 3/8-16in screw threads to allow them to be mounted on magnetic surfaces or attached to spigots or baby pins.
