DJI has announced two upgraded accessories for their FPV Avata Drone, the Goggles Integra and the RC Motion 2 controller adding new and improved ways for pilots to fly the drone.
DJI Goggles Integra
The Goggles Integra features foldable antennae and an integrated design that combines the headband and battery into one unit, eliminating extra cables and making it much simpler to put on or remove.
Even with the additional weight of the built-in battery which offers up to two hours of operation, DJI claims that the headband is light, balanced, and very comfortable to wear.
The goggles also feature built-in GPS allowing pilots to fly without connecting to a smartphone and DJI O3+ video transmission that automatically switches between 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequency bands offering ultra-low 30-millisecond latency and stable video transmission.
DJI RC Motion 2
It boasts an accelerator with a reverse function that supports multidirectional flight, including vertical, backward, and sideways by responding to hand movements.
The controller itself has been optimized for single-handed use, with the accelerator, mode button and lock button all within easy reach and the side mounted Fn dial allows for quick camera adjustments including ISO and shutter settings as well as other parameters without having to interact with the goggles.
The good news is that if you already own the Avata drone and want to upgrade your flying experience, the RC Motion 2 controller and Goggles Integra can purchased individually and added to your existing set-up.
If you are new to drone piloting you might want to consider looking at the new DJI Avata Explorer Combo which includes both the new RC Motion 2 controller and Goggles Integra and a lot of other extras.
