Olympus Introduces  a new Professional-grade telephoto zoom with fast constant aperture.

M.Zuiko Digital 40-150 f/2.8 PRO

On Friday November 14 Olympus will be providing a rare opportunity to see this lens in person at our Toronto and Mississauga location. There’s maybe a handful of these lenses in Canada. Here’s your chance to see one up close. The new 40-150mmf/2.8 is big news because it provides Micro Four Thirds users with a compact, yet durable and sharp telephoto zoom lens. It has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 80-300mm for covering a wide range of telephoto lengths.

The new M.ZUIKO 40-150mm f2.8 PRO is a compact, full-featured zoom that sports premium metal construction and professional-quality lens elements. It’s light in weight and fully sealed for weather protection, delivers super-sharp edge-to-edge image quality, and boasts the world’s first Dual VCM autofocus mechanism.

Highest quality optical construct allows for high transmission.
To achieve compact, lightweight lens with optical performance exceeding that of the highly regarded Four Thirds System standard Super High Grade (SHG) lens, the lens employs such glass materials as the Super ED lenses, the ED, HD lens as well as EDA and other aspherical lenses. The latest design technologies were also incorporated in developing the lens, such as making proactive use of ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) Coating to thoroughly eliminate ghosts and flare. This allows the new 40-150 PRO to match and exceed the optical performance of Olympus’ legendary SHG lens range.
