Over the past few years, we’ve kept in touch with rising star Meryl McMaster. Meryl’s work is special to us, not only because of our relationship with her since she was a student, but also because of the deep cultural connection she’s shown through her work. Meryl joins three other artists at Trade Marks, a new exhibition at the Prefix Institute, now open.
Prefix Institute of Contemporary Art is pleased to present Trade Marks, a group exhibition curated by Betty Julian that features the world premiere of newly commissioned photographic, video and audio works by four early-career Indigenous artists: Keesic Douglas, Meryl McMaster, Nigit’stil Norbert and Bear Witness. The exhibition is presented by Prefix in association with ImagineNative.
The Prefix Gallery is located at 401 Richmond St. West, Suite 124 in Toronto
