Exposure 2012 is inviting residents of the Bow Valley from Banff, Canmore, Exshaw and Morley to submit images for downtown projections and window murals in the Town of Canmore throughout the run of the photography festival.
Photographs can be of the local community, environment or places beyond the Bow Valley, as long as they pertain to the theme of the 2012 Festival, INSIGHT. All entries will be presented as part of Exposure 2012 and the Town of Canmore outdoor projection, to be featured February 10 on the wall of the vacant lot on the corner of 8th Avenue and Main Street. In addition, three photographs from three different photographers will be selected and featured as 3’x4’ window murals at 710 Main Street in Canmore, courtesy of Glacier Holdings and sponsored by Snappy’s Sign and Graphics Emporium.
How to enter:
Simply email 5 (five) of your photographs, along with a short bio of 50 words (that part is optional) and a brief artist statement of 100 words (that part is mandatory) to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than January 5, 2012.
File sizes should be 1024 x 768 pixels (w x h), 72 dpi, rgb and no larger than 500KB. Files should also be labeled sequentially, starting at 01, with your first and last name (e.g. 01_LastName_FirstName.) And be sure to include your name, email and phone number with your submission.
If your photo is selected, you will be contacted and asked for a high-res version of the file.
