    Meryl McMaster: In The Flesh

    adminBy adminJune 21, 2013Updated:December 9, 20201 Comment1 Min Read

In 2010 Meryl McMaster won OCAD’s Gold Medal in Photography as well as a Vistek scholarship. We’ve been in touch with Meryl over the years,  and are excited (but of course not surprised) to see her skills taking her to exciting new places. Meryl’s work is currently on display at the Ottawa Art Gallery at In The Flesh.

From the Ottawa Art Gallery site:

In the Flesh examines the hierarchical relationship between humans and animals within a cultural and museological context, and investigates colonial politics, as well as issues of gender as they relate to the mastery of the natural world.

Along with Lance Belanger, Dana Claxton and Brad Isaacs. The show is in collaboration with the National Gallery of Canada’s Sakahàn: International Indigenous Art exhibition.

In The Flesh runs from June 20 – September 8, 2013.
