Round table panel discussion featuring 4 industry professionals discussing what it’s actually like working as a photographer in Edmonton and covering such topic as client relations, work processes, inspiration and personal work.
About Our Panel
Paul Swanson – Alumni of Ryerson University – School of Image Arts with a BFA in Photography Studies
Paul is a well-rounded professional, shooting industrial, landscape, portraits and still-life for a variety of clients.
Daniel Wood – Represents our mid-career photographer
Daniel works with a growing roster of advertising and editorial clients. He loves environmental portraiture and is exploring still-life in the studio.
Darren Jacknisky – Represents our Industry veteran
For over two decades, Bluefish Studios principal, Darren Jacknisky, has worked with a variety of clients shooting everything from fashion to oil sands. His work has taken him to all three of Canada’s coasts and introduced him to all sorts of amazing clients and subjects. His work appears in national and provincial magazines and has been recognized by Applied Arts as well as The Advertising Club of Edmonton.
Nigel Hood – Represents the art director/ client side
Nigel is a Designer/Art Director who most recently was an Associate Creative Director with RED and recently left to start his own studio, Hotel G.D.C. Nigel’s work has been featured on the CBC and in the Edmonton Journal.
