Digital cinema camera maker RED has released a firmware update for their 6K KOMODO camera adding support for timelapse recording as well as fixing a few bugs.
For those unfamiliar with it, the RED KOMODO is a compact and highly powerful cinema camera that is very popular with filmmakers because it allows them to capture cinema quality footage but not have to break the bank in terms of price in order to do so.
It features a 19.9 MP Super 35mm global shutter CMOS sensor offering up to 6K (17:9) /40fps RAW output and 16+ stops of dynamic range .
The KOMODO also features a built-in Canon RF mount providing the flexibility to use numerous different lens adapters, such as Canon EF, PL and Leica M mount.
There is also a DC IN power port and it can also be powered using two Canon BP style batteries.
