The latest firmware update for the Sony a7S III adds their S-Cinetone Colour profile, a feature currently only found on the just announced FX3 camera, the recently announced A1 as well as their higher end cinema cameras like the FX6, FX9 and Venice.
The addition of the S-Cinetone profile will allow for better colour matching when mixing footage between the a7s III and Sony’s Cinema Line cameras by providing a more cinematic look in both tone and colour.
“S-Cinetone colour, developed for Sony’s acclaimed FX9, is precisely tuned to meet the requirements of today’s content creators, with rich colour and natural skin tones that match other Cinema Line cameras without grading.”
