The new Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 large-format printer is a next-gen pro-grade photo printer that can handle a variety of media in wide format up to 17 inches. It’s optimized to work seamlessly with Canon’s EOS system and deliver vivid, accurate colour reproduction and exceptional detail with up to 2400×1200 dpi resolution.
It’s packed with features designed not only to produce the results you want to see but also to make it as easy as possible to achieve them. These are just some of the latest improvements:
Improved print longevity
The newly developed LUCIA PRO II pigment ink is highly resistant to light to ensure the long-term preservation of your printed images. The printer also uses a new highly crystalline wax to boost scratch resistance and reduce abrasiveness. This is achieved without detriment to image quality, and it also makes it easier and less worrisome to handle the artwork.
Improved blacks and dark blues
The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 features a new matte black ink formula to improve black density and produce deeper blacks. There’s also a new colour design with improved reproducibility in blue-dark areas for a wider gamut of colours and noticeably better dark blue representation.
The wider array of colours translates into a wider colour gamut, which results in improved overall colour reproduction and image clarity, as well as those newly enhanced darker areas.
Like its predecessor, the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000, this new model boasts a number of features that are hallmarks of the series, including an air feeding system that prevents the sheet from being deflected and ensuring that the ink falls precisely in all the right places.
Anti-clogging technology and a compensation function monitor ink nozzle conditions and detect blockages, automatically enlisting another nozzle to provide backup when required and reducing the need for frequent head cleaning. You’ve also got Canon’s proprietary Chroma Optimizer to evenly coat the print surface and provide consistent light reflection on glossy paper.
And the new imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 does all of this without sacrificing any of the speed this series is known for, delivering a stunning 17×22-inch bordered colour photo in roughly four minutes or a 13×19-inch one in less than two and half.
