Nanlite has announced two new LED Bi-Colour spotlights, the FC-300B and FC-500B both of which feature a CCT range of 2700K-6500K, 12 built-in effects, and a new look and design.
With the two lights sharing many of the same features, the biggest difference between them is the amount of power each light draws, 350W for the FC-300B and 520W for the FC-500B respectively.
When set at 5600K, and used with its reflector, the FC-300B has an output of 37,340 lux at a distance of 1m/3.3′, whereas the FC-500B, (with its reflector and at a distance of 1m/3.3′), has an output of 65,640 lux.
The two lights also have CRI/TLCI rating averages of 96 (300B) and 98 (500B) respectively.
While both lights are dimmable from 0%-100%, the FC-500B allows for more precise on-board dimming in 0.1% decrements.
There also are 12 built-in special effects on each light that are fully tunable through on-board control, with additional customization options available via the Nanlink APP.
On the outside, the lights both feature a blue decorative frame and a wing-shaped top housing along with a simple UI (user interface) consisting of a 2.0 inch screen with two knobs and two buttons.
The power supply features a safety strap and quick release plate, allowing for easy rigging and installing on light
stands when using the (separately purchased) quick release clamp.
In terms of connections, both lights support Nanlink APP control via built-in 2.4G and Bluetooth modules and a wired DMX/RDM connection is also available for more complex and accurate group control.
Both lights also feature a standard Bowens mount that is fully compatible with Nanlite’s Bowens mount accessories and are also equipped with an umbrella hole for mounting various types of umbrellas.
Finally, both lights are equipped with a USB port that will support firmware updates via a USB stick.
