The significantly upgraded autofocus system is approximately 20% faster than the Z6II, and enables the camera to focus in extremely low light conditions down to -10 EV.
Nine types of subject detection, including modes specifically for aircraft are also supported and continuous shooting speeds of up to 120 fps with Pre-Release Capture is also available helping to ensure critical moments are never missed.
The Z6III boasts upgraded video capabilities, supporting up to 6K/60p in N-RAW and 4K/120p in ProRes RAW, with options for oversampling from 6K for enhanced 4K UHD footage. Full HD recording up to 240p is also supported.
These features are complemented by electronic vibration reduction allowing for more stable video capture, making it an ideal choice for professional videographers and content creators looking for high-resolution output and detailed slow-motion effects.
Additionally, the Z6III enhances audio recording flexibility with line-in input and compatibility with professional audio and XLR accessories.
Videographers will also appreciate the up to 2X digital zoom in HD and 1.4X in 4K without quality loss, alongside support for the Nikon MC-N10 Remote Grip and Atomos UltraSync BLUE, enhancing multi-camera setups and advanced video production workflows.
The upgraded electronic viewfinder (EVF) features a 5.76M dot resolution that can reach a luminance of 4000 cd/m2, and supports the DCI-P3 colour gamut, allowing for a more accurate colour representation.
The Nikon Z6III also introduces a suite of cloud connectivity options, including the new Nikon Imaging Cloud service, allowing users to directly download curated Imaging Recipes and Custom Picture Controls, crafted by Nikon or supervised by creators.
Finally, the Z6III also supports automatic firmware updates and image uploads via Wi-Fi, eliminating the need for manual transfers. Images can also be seamlessly transferred to pre-configured third-party cloud storage services, simplifying the workflow and enhancing the overall user experience.
