Profoto has expanded their line of Clic Light Shaping tools with the addition of two new softboxes, two softgrids and the Clic Magnum, all of which are designed to be uses with their A2 Air TTL and A10 on-camera flashes.
Clic Magnum
According to Profoto, the Clic Magnum was designed to “bring out the optimal power of the Profoto A-series flashes.”
When combined with the Profoto A2, the Clic Magnum narrows the beam angle from 62 to 37 degrees and with the addition of the grid, the beam angle narrows down even further to 20 degrees.
Features
Clic Softbox 2.3’ (70cm) Octa & Clic Softbox 2.7’ (80cm) Octa
Both softboxes allow you to immerse a subject in a soft light spread with the light becoming softer as you go up in size.
The slightly larger 80mm version measures 16.5cm (w) x 6.5cm (H) x 65cm (L) and weighs 1kg (2.2lbs).
Because both versions are made to be portable, they utilize a quick fold/unfold solution with an integrated handle allowing it to be mounted on a stand in addition to the magnetic mount used to mount to an A-Series flash.
Features
Clic Softgrid 2.3’ (70cm) Octa & Clic Softgrid 2.7’ (80cm) Octa
To be used with the two new softboxes, these grids are designed to create a more directed light while eliminating a large amount of spill light.
One thing to note is that Profoto recommends that these grids only be used with Profoto flashes with an LED modeling light.
