Sigma has won three TIPA Awards for one of its cameras and two of its lenses this year: the groundbreaking Sigma BF mirrorless, the 300-600mm f/4 DG OS Sports and the 16-300mm f/3.5-6.7 DC OS Contemporary.

The Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) counts roughly 30 publications from around the world as members, with their chief editors and technical editors constituting the backbone of the organization.
TIPA has been presenting awards in several sectors, including imaging, since 1991. Sigma will remember 2025 as a banner year for its showing at the annual TIPA World Awards. Here’s what the jury had to say about Sigma’s entries.
The Sigma BF took home the honours for best premium camera. In its citation, the jury noted that “while many of today’s camera offerings sport multiple buttons and dials needed to access extensive and often complicated menus, the Sigma BF stands apart in a way that makes it radically simple.”
The Sigma 300-600mm f/4 DG OS Sports prevailed in the best professional telephoto lens category, with the jury citing its ability to deliver both “versatility and excellent image quality.”
Meanwhile, the Sigma 16-300mm f/3.5-6.7 DC OS Contemporary was named best APS-C travel lens and called “a true all-in-one companion for versatile shooting.”
