The Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A RXD lens is now available for Canon RF-mount mirrorless cameras. Designed and optimized for APS-C format sensors, this high-performance fast-aperture ultra-wide-angle zoom was preceded by an E-mount model in 2021 and an X-mount one in 2023.
With this latest Tamron launch, Canon shooters can now experience the distinctive depth-of-field and unique perspective – with easy handling and pleasantly creamy bokeh – that this budget-friendly ultra-wide-angle zoom affords.
Ideally suited to the Canon EOS R50, R100, R10 and R7, the new Tamron lens boasts a surprisingly lightweight design for such a fast ultra-wide-angle zoom, and it feels perfectly balanced on a compact Canon APS-C mirrorless camera body.
That lightweight, compact combination makes it the ideal choice for casual shooting and daily use. With a maximum f/2.8 aperture spanning its full range of focal lengths, this new lens also offers stunning close-range shooting possibilities at the wide end: macro shooting is available at 11mm, with an MOD of 0.15m and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:4.

The lens uses an AF drive system with an RXD (Rapid-eXtra-silent stepping Drive) stepping motor unit that shooters will find remarkably quiet. RXD also features an actuator that delivers precision control for the rotational angle of the motor, directly driving the focusing lens without passing through a reduction gear.
Unique to the new RF version is an AF/MF switch. Like the previous models, it also boasts a moisture-resistant construction and fluorine coatings designed for worry-free outdoor shooting under a range of challenging weather conditions.
