Elinchrom made a couple of big announcements today, including the latest addition to the Skyport family, the EL-Skyport Plus system & updated ELB 400 sets.
Find out more about each product below:
Unlike the other versions released last year, the 2 component “plus” system is designed to be compatible with almost every camera/flash system currently on the market.
The following was taken from their press release:
“The new EL-Skyport Plus system is ergonomically designed, compact and robust, using easily available AA batteries. It offers an extended range of up to 200 m (656 feet), triggering any flash and controlling the power of all Skyport enabled Elinchrom flash units. With eight individual frequencies and the choice of standard and speed protocols, there are 16 frequency options, each having four groups.”
“The EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus is compatible with almost every camera and offers a swivel function for optimum orientation.”
“The EL-Skyport Receiver Plus will trigger almost every flash system and includes also a built in Hot Shoe to trigger speedlights, whilst enabling them also to be conveniently mounted onto a lighting stand. When used in conjunction with a Skyport HS Plus Transmitter, most Speedlights set at full power can also be incorporated into Hi-Sync applications (using high shutter sync speeds to freeze motion and control ambient light).”
“Elinchrom’s latest ELB 400 sets are more complete than ever with the newly introduced EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus and the ProTec Location bag.”
The following was taken from their press release:
The ELB 400 Hi-Sync set is for photographers who need Hi- Sync photography using high shutter speeds to overpower the sun, with a minimum of banding. The Hi-Sync set comes with the recently introduced Quadra HS head. However, no transmitter is included so that photographers have the freedom to choose the corresponding EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus HS for their camera system.
The ELB 400 Pro and Dual Pro sets are designed for photographers who prefer the most versatile flash head. The Quadra Pro Head offers good flash durations and can also be used – to some extent – for Hi-Sync with the optional EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus HS. These sets include the new Skyport Transmitter Plus, a long range trigger that can adjust the power remotely.
The ELB 400 Action set is for photographers for who want fast flash durations to create the sharpest images using normal flash sync speeds. This set also includes the new Skyport Transmitter Plus for seamless and reliable control.
“All ELB 400 sets now include the 18-cm Quadra grid reflector which offers almost one stop more light and the newly developed Location bag, which is adaptable to every photographer’s needs.”
