Ray took this picture of his wife and daughter with a Nikon D50 with Tamron 18-200 lens. He back lit the shot with a south facing window. The shot was converted to black & white and cropped using Capture NX and further adjusted in CS2. The Ryerson University Film Festival starts May 14 and runs through until May 16. The 3-day event showcases over 30 films produced by Ryerson University’s graduating class and runs the gamut from sci-fi, historical, drama, horror and comedy, to documentary and experimental. This annual public showcase of thesis works takes place at the Royal Cinema on College St. in Toronto and tickets can be purchased, in advance,  online.

A new free photo sharing service now allows Twitter users to easily upload photos and have them automatically published & turned into tweets on Twitter. Yes, yes… another 2.0 user generated content site. But this one – tweetPhoto – is a real amalgam of previously existing sites. For want of a better description, imagine Flickr and Facebook and Twitter all rolled into one.
