The upcoming Willem Baptist directed Instant Dreams is a beautifully shot Dutch documentary that looks back at the magic that Polaroid cameras and film brought into the world and what the future might hold for this iconic film type.

Set to premiere at the world’s largest documentary festival, IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam) on November 18th, the documentary promises stunning visuals and a look into the efforts scientists are making to try to uncover the mysteries of this well known and loved film type to bring it back from the dead.

Synopsis

“INSTANT DREAMS tells the story of a group of scientist who are trying to unravel the lchemical formula of Polaroid and the polaroid-users that eagerly await its rebirth. Each in their own way tries to keeps their instant dream alive.”



A North American release date hasn’t been set yet (its scheduled release date in the Netherlands is December 14th), but we do know that based on the trailer, we are super stoked to see the whole thing!
