How many times have had a conversation where you told someone that you’re “just a photographer” when asked what your profession is?
If you’re like most photographers, it’s probably happened many, many times.
Would a doctor say “Oh, I’m just a doctor”? No, of course not, they would probably say to whomever that “I’m a doctor”, and it’s probably the same for most professionals.
So why is it that as professional photographers, we more often than not tell people we are “just a photographer” like it’s something that should be dismissed quickly or unimportant to anyone?
Well, New York-based Fashion photographers Jeff Rojas and Miguel Quiles believe it’s time for us to stop being humble, be proud and own our profession!
