How many times have had a conversation where you told someone that you’re “just a photographer” when asked what your profession is?

If you’re like most photographers, it’s probably happened many, many times.

Would a doctor say “Oh, I’m just a doctor”? No, of course not, they would probably say to whomever that “I’m a doctor”, and it’s probably the same for most professionals.

So why is it that as professional photographers, we more often than not tell people we are “just a photographer” like it’s something that should be dismissed quickly or unimportant to anyone?

Well, New York-based Fashion photographers Jeff Rojas and Miguel Quiles believe it’s time for us to stop being humble, be proud and own our profession!

Listen to their thoughts on the subject below.
