Samantha Stephens – Sony Booth – November 8th & 9th
Samantha Stephens is a biologist turned award-winning photographer for science and conservation. She uses visual storytelling to communicate scientific research, especially when that research is relevant to conservation issues. Through her work, she hopes to foster an appreciation for the natural world and the work that helps us understand and protect our shared home.
Samantha spends most of her time in Algonquin Provincial Park, documenting various wildlife research projects at the Algonquin Wildlife Research Station.
Topic: Photography as a Tool to Communicate Science
Samantha Stephens takes us on a journey through the bogs and into the trees of Algonquin Provincial Park as she shares her experiences as a photographer documenting the work of wildlife researchers. Drawing on her own background as a biologist, Sam’s work demonstrates how photography can be used as a tool to communicate science.
Victoria Lean – Sony Booth – November 9th
Victoria Lean is an award-winning filmmaker working in documentary, comedy and the intersections between. She is credited as Series Producer, Writer and Director of ‘We’re All Gonna Die (Even Jay Baruchel)’ for CRAVE, for production of, “The Climate Baby Dilemma,” for CBC and “I Like Movies” on Netflix.
Victoria holds an MFA in Film Production and an MBA in Arts and Media Management from York University, and a Joint Honors BA from McGill University.
Topic: Sony Cinema Line in Documentary Television
Join producer Victoria Lean, as she discusses how the Sony Cinema Line is used in documentary television. While detailing her experiences as an award-winning filmmaker, Victoria will educate on various aspects of the Sony Venice, Sony FX9 and FX3 across her work, as well as the color science on the FX9 and Venice.
Mark Blinch – Main Stage and Sony Booth – November 8th & 9th
Mark Blinch is a sports photographer based in Toronto. He currently works as the team photographer for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and in addition he works as a contract photographer for the NBA and Getty Images.
Mark has been internationally recognized for his work in photo contests, most notably for the sports photo of the year in World Press Photo, for his Kawhi Leonard Buzzer beater photo.

Raph Nogal is a professional photographer of 13+ years based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. While specializing in wedding photography, Raph also enjoys photographing portraits, headshots, and products.
Best known for his creative off-camera lighting approach, Raph is an active photographer, educator & speaker and proud Sony Canada pro.
As a 24-time recipient of WPPI Honours of Excellence Awards, Raph is also a Fearless Photographers Award winner, Shutterfest Print Comp Award winner, as well as a PPOC Winner and Loan Collection participant in National and Regional Image Salons in Canada.
